When I first started thinking about soaping as a hobby, I spent hours on the net looking at soap pictures and one from Birch Bark Soaps always always caught my eye. I still love it to this day, and this is my version of one of her soaps. I hope the link works, but here is the original soap that inspired me.

Having found a renewed love of soaping, I plan a few more soaps, and I'll be putting these on my folksy and etsy shop xx

Mmmm that looks really lovely, I wish I could smell it!
Wow, beautiful soap, Polly! I love the pencil line. Is that star anise on top? It looks very elegant. Sounds like you're having lots of fun experimenting with new things! Your soaps are always so pretty. :)
Thanks Soapchick - it smells divine, one of my favourite FOs
Jenny - thank you. yes, that is Star anise on the top. i had some left over from a failed experiment so i thought I would use it up. I think it worked well. And thank you for saying my soaps are pretty, that's only because I won;t post photos of the ugly ones (and I've made plenty of them) lol
Just lovely!
Thank you Joanna xx
